Another outstanding episode for this season. Two for two.

Rumple continues to play the lone wolf. Him summoning the image of Belle to speak with him didn't make a whole lot of sense, but I don't really mind because having those two interact is always wonderful. I liked him talking out his problems with Belle, and finding out the meaning of that doll. So, I was wrong. It wasn't about Bae, it was about his father. Daddy issues, I see. His scene with the doll constantly finding its way back to him was nicely unsettling. It really highlighted the fact that he is trying to run away from being an orphan as well, furthering his connection to the main story.

And we also get a flashback to the Enchanted Forest in this episode. First of all, SIDNEY!!!!!! YES!!!!! Oh it was a breath of fresh air to see the return of the mirror. Also, I friggin' loved Regina's dresses this episode. My Walt that woman has the best wardrobe. I liked that this episode went more into detail of Snow and Charming's fight to reclaim the kingdom as we as furthering the Arthurian connections. David using the fake Excalibur to help Snow realize her purpose was a nice concept and it really highlights but David's cleverness and compassion for Snow. I also like that this flashback helped to draw further parallels between Snow and Emma.

The main plot in Neverland continues to be something to look forward to every episode. I love the interactions between our five man band. Hook and David had some nice moments together, and, yes, there was some foe yay becoming ho yay, and it was glorious. Hook wasn't really up to much this episode, but his expertise of Neverland is really shown here, and I'm also very intrigued by finding out how Hook killed Rufio. Pan continues to impress me as an antagonist. I liked how he's playful in that he's treating everything like a game, and I particularly like how his "game" is ultimately designed to essentially break Emma in the same way he breaks his captured boys. This type of villainy has been severely lacking since Cora's death, and it's wonderful to see it return. I love how Regina continues to want to solve all of her problems with magic. Her addiction to magic, while not touched on that much in this episode, continues to shine through. I'm wondering where it will lead her this season, but her constant desire to solve her problems by hurling a spell at it makes for a nice continuation of her character. I loved Snow trying to reconnect with Emma as a daughter, but Emma's own feelings of abandonment keeping her from really responding. The scene where she hesitates upon looking at the face of a Lost Boy carried a lot of gravitas and really spoke for her character. Emma essentially being a "Lost Girl" is absolutely wonderful, and Pan's threats of making her an actual orphan becomes all the more frightening once we find out about David's injury. I look forward to seeing where that goes.

Just another great episode. I look forward to the next episode with Tinker in what looks like it'll be a further window into Regina's early days. Can I get a squee for my dear Queen? XD
Everything will be just fine; just keep throwing magic at it until it goes away XD
